The Hidden Quran is a video series which seeks to introduce audiences to the Quran by exploring the basic ideas behind each Chapter of the Holy Quran. By focusing on general themes, rather than particular details, the series hopes to provide an introduction to the Quran for Muslims who wish to come closer to the book, but are not sure where to start. In essence, these videos seek to teach audiences about a book that they have hidden from themselves. THIS THREE PART SERIES WILL PROVIDE INSIGHT INTO EVERY CHAPTER. PART ONE WILL FOCUS ON THE LAST 37 CHAPTERS.

Dr. Sayed Ammar Nakshawani

Dr. Sayed Ammar Nakshawani (born 1981) is a British Iraqi Islamic historian, lecturer, and author. He is listed as one of the The 500 Most Influential Muslims, and is the youngest person on the list at the age of 32.

As of 2015, Sayed Ammar was the Special Representative for the Universal Muslim Association of America (UMAA). In this role, he promotes an understanding of the customs and beliefs of Shia Ithna Asheri Muslims. As Special Representative, he engages in interfaith dialogue with leaders of a variety of faith communities, and advocates on behalf of Shia Islam to a variety of elected officials, think tanks, and policy institutes.

Prior to joining UMAA, Sayed Ammar served as the Visiting Scholar of Islamic Studies, at the University of Cambridge in England. In this position, he performed extensive research and academic analysis of ancient Islamic texts, which he has discussed at a number of academic forums.



The Universal Muslim Association of America (UMAA) is an NGO organization that works on social, political, religious, and humanitarian issues. UMAA has held annual conventions since 2002 in Washington DC and Toronto, Canada. This years convention is being held in Chicago, Illinois. UMAA is primarily a Shia Muslim organization, yet has established notable relationships with other sects of Islam.
